END PROJECT EVALUATION MEETING
Project: “Empowerment of Adolescents and Young girls in Schools on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)”
Activity: A meeting with stakeholders for the project evaluation on the ‘Empowerment of adolescents and young girls in schools on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Save Generations Organization (SGO), is a Rwandan Development NGO that works to prepare, empower and equip the future generations. Since August 2018, Save Generations Organization is implementing a project on the ‘Empowerment of adolescents and young girls in schools on sexual and reproductive health and rights” funded by Kvinna Till Kvinna (KTK).
This project main goal is to increase knowledge and information on SRHR to adolescents and young girls in school for informed and responsible decisions over their bodies and increase community engagement for supporting environment to SRHR of adolescents and youth in order to address the issues of teenage pregnancies among adolescents and young girls in school that are related to limited awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and gender power imbalance in decision making on their SRHR and reduce negative perception towards SRHR considered as taboo, due to culture, beliefs and social norms.
The second phase of the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights project implementation(from January up to December 2020) is at it is at end, therefore Save Generations Organization would like to share with involved stakeholders the evaluation report that covers the project achievements, results and changes, challenges, as well as lessons learnt to adapt and respond to changes and sustainability of the project
- General objective:
This end project evaluation aims to assess the project relevance, efficiency and effectiveness and measure to what extent the SRHR knowledge was increased to adolescents and youth in the project, change in attitude and practices through implementing “Empowerment of adolescent and young Girls in school on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights “from January –December,2020.
- Specific objectives
-Validation of the project evaluation report;
-To find out results, lessons learnt and persistent challenges faced during the project implementation.-To share testimonies and best practices by project participants
– Receive feedback from the participants on the report
–Strengthen existing stakeholders’ partnership and collaboration for success, ownership and sustainability of the project.
– Draw and receive recommendations for the next project phase.
- All participants are aware of the project achievements and results.
- Persistent challenges and lessons learnt will be identified for future strategies in project programming
- Strong partnership and continuous collaboration between SGO and stakeholders for sustainability of the project.
- Actions and recommendations facilitating in the effective project implementation
In accordance with meeting objectives, an active and participatory approach will be used to share project achievements, change, and lessons learnt for the way forward, through a presentation and testimonies sharing
Participants: 80 stakeholders from central government, local government, different CSOs and LNGO, parents’ representatives and other project participants.
