Our History

Save Generations Organization (SGO), is a Rwandan development Non-Government Organization (NGO) dedicated to promote and advocate for child and women’s rights in order to prepare, empower and equip the future generations. Save Generations Organization has been established in 2015 and is registered at Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) with legal personality number 008/ RGB /NGO/2016, issued in 2016.

SGO areas of operation

Currently, Save Generations Organization works in Gasabo, Kamonyi, Bugesera and Nyagatare Districts in the sectors of Rwimiyaga,Tbagwe,Mimuri,karangazi and Nyagatare sectors. In Gasabo District, it works in Rusororo and Ndera sectors; and in Kamonyi District, it works in Rukoma and Ngamba Sectors, In Bugesera district, it works in Rweru & Nyarugenge sectors and in Nyagatare it works in Nyagatare, Rwimiyaga, Mimuri, Karangazi and Tabagwe sectors.
In the previous years, Save Generations Organization had interventions in Kicukiro District, in Masaka and Kigarama sectors in partnership with Hope and Homes for Children; and in Rwamagana District, for the girls funded from Muyumbu, Gahengeri and Nyakariro Sectors, in partnership with A Bridge for Girls Fund.

Our Achievements

2017: SGO received funding partnership from A bridge for Girls Fund: a number of girls have been enrolled back to school and others engaged in vocation skills development and formed cooperatives for income generation and livelihood improvement.

2018: SGO won a funding award from Kvinna till Kvinna to empower adolescent and young girls in school on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for teen pregnancy prevention and girls’ rights promotion.

News updates and stories

COVID-19... Save Generations Organization in partnership with other partners conducted a citizen out reach campaign about the measures and guidelines put in place by the Government of Rwanda in response to covid-19 prevention with the citizens of in Rweru IDP modal village in Bugesera district, we provided over 1500 face masks and soap to over 300 households which will help them protect themselves from the coronanvirus

The Board, Management and staff of Save Generations Organization wishes all our beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders a Happy New Year 2021 as we continue to practice the measures put in place to combat COVID19 pandemic.
