Training of religious leaders from Kamonyi & Gasabo districts on SRHR and GBV prevention

Save Generations Organization, with the support of Kvinna Till Kvinna, kicked off a 2 days training of religious leaders from Gasabo and Kamonyi  districts for a learning & sharing dialogue on their engagement in creating a supportive SRHR environment to adolescents & their role in prevention of GBV and to empower them with knowledge and skills needed to address SRHR and GBV issues and promote positive attitudes, thereby reducing negative perceptions related to SRHR within cultural norms that reinforce GBV.

Religious leaders, as respected pillars of our society, have an immense potential to influence attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors in their respective communities. We recognize that cultural norms often intersect with SRHR and GBV, leading to a perpetuation of negative perceptions and reinforcing harmful practices. Religious leaders can also be powerful catalysts for positive change.
