Save Generations Organization organized 2 community outreach campaigns on SRHR issues faced by adolescents (one campaign per district) in Kamonyi and Gasabo districts. The campaign aims at increasing community engagement and response to SRHR issues faced by adolescents and young people hence challenging negative perceptions towards SRHR for promotion of a friendly and supportive environment for adolescents and young people so that they may fully enjoy their SRH and Rights.
Also to increase access to SRHR information and services to adolescents and youth out of school as it has been raised by them that they are a considerable limitation to SRHR information and service for them.
The campaign will be conducted thought Football match approach where equipped right holders and duty bearers are responsibly initiate the campaign to disseminate the acquired SRHR knowledge to community participants in close collaboration with Yego centre for providing SRHR services. Also the campaign will be done in collaboration with local leaders by supporting in community mobilization for them to be engaged in changing beliefs and gender norms issues faced by adolescent and young people on SRHR for right decisions and choices over their bodies.
THEME OF THE CAMPAIGN: “Uruhare rwanjye mu guhangana no gukumira ibibazo by’ubuzima bw’imyororokere bw’abangavu, ingimbi n’urubyiruko birimo inda ziterwa abangavu, indwara zandurira mu mibonanompuzabitsina n’ihohoterwa rishingiye ku gitsina ’’.
MAIN OBJECTIVE.
To increase community engagement in response to SRHR issues facing adolescents and young people hence challenging negative perceptions towards SRHR for the promotion of a friendly and supportive environment for adolescents and young people.
